Problems with social security benefits

Since legal aid ended for benefits advice our capacity to offer casework has been significantly reduced. However, we can still provide general advice on all aspects of benefits and more specialised help on some. For example if you are experiencing problems with Tax Credits we have a specialist who may be able to help.

Help to Claim - this national Citizens Advice service offers support to people during the claim process for Universal Credit. For further details click here.

Potteries Gold project - PG is one of our local projects and is funded by the Big Lottery. It produces a range of benefit resources such as benefit leaflets and newsletters you can download for free. They also have trainers who can deliver free benefit talks to your community group. For further details click here

Partnership working - We also have several projects working in different ways to help people affected by welfare reform. Many of these work within other organisations. If you think you might need help ask any organisations who support you if they have such a partnership with us.
